Oracle Communications EAGLE (Software) - Version EAGLE 46.3 to EAGLE 46.3 [Release EAGLE 46.0]
Tekelec

Description

During GTT domain crossing scenario, GTT functionality will ignore GTMODID provisioned in the GTA table even though GTMOD entry has NGTI value provisioned. GTT skips GTMOD table and, in case of crossing between ANSI and ITU domains, uses GTCNV table for modifying CDPA.

Occurrence

This can occur when all of the following conditions are true:

  • EAGLE running Release 46.3.0.0.x
  • SCCP Conversion feature (part number 893012001) is enabled and turned on in the control feature table
  • ANSI SCCP MSU is getting translated to a ITU network domain or vice versa
  • GTMOD is used (with new GTI) for SCCP CDPA part conversion

Symptoms

During GTT domain crossing scenario, data in GTMOD entry provisioned in GTA record is never applied to the MSU. Hence, when crossing between ANSI and ITU domains, SCCP CDPA part is getting converted according to the GTCNV table though the GTMOD entry has NGTI parameter. However this bug does not impact domain crossing processing by GTT Actions feature (GTT Actions FWD and DUP).

Patches

Permanent fix for this issue is targeted under bug 25470579 for 46.3 maintenance release. Release date TBD.
