Description

Command rept-stat-iptps:tpscost=yes:loc=xxxx causes active MASP to reboot when executed on card location configured as TYPE=ENET, APPL=IPSG and which is having no link configured on that card location.

Occurrence

This problem may occur if all of the following conditions are true

EAGLE is running release 45.x software or later.
Card location is configured as TYPE=ENET, APPL=IPSG, having no links configured.
rept-stat-iptps command for such card location is executed with parameter tpscost=yes

Below sample capture shows card configured as TYPE=ENET, APPL=IPSG and having no links configured and command rept-stat-iptps is executed with parameter tpscost=yes.

Symptoms

Below are possible symptoms which may appear:

After MASP reboot in seculog the status of this command is displayed as "IN_PROGRESS"

After MASP reboot OBIT ath_vxw_mgr. is displayed. Line number can be different for different releases.

Card configuration with TYPE=ENET, APPL=IPSG exists which is having no links configured and command rept-stat-iptps:loc=xxxx:tpscost=yes is run on this card location.

Workaround

Avoid running this command for card location configured as TYPE=ENET, APPL=IPSG, which is having no links configured (do not use TPSCOST=YES option with rept-stat-iptps command for such configuration card location).
If card is having one or more links configured then executing this command won't cause the active MASP to reboot.
Delete this card configuration (if no link is configured on card) then running this command won’t cause the active MASP to reboot.

Patches

Permanent fix for this issue will be implemented under bug 25434182. Fix schedule to be determined.
