Information in this document applies to any platform.
Description
EAGLE running Release 46.2.0.0.1 incorrectly processes CgPA PC (Calling Party Address Point Code in the SCCP layer of MSU) during SCCP conversion when CgPA RI (Calling Party Address Routing Indicator in the SCCP layer of MSU) in the incoming SCCP MSU is set to Route-on-GT. Under this scenario, EAGLE does not process CgPA PC at all and simply encodes the same CgPA PC value from incoming message to the outgoing message.
Occurrence
This can occur when all of the following conditions are true:
- EAGLE running Release 46.2.0.0.1
- SCCP Conversion feature (part number 893012001) is enabled and turned on in the control feature table.
- SCCP MSU is getting translated to a different network domain than from which it arrived.
- CgPA RI in the incoming SCCP MSU is set to Route-on-GT
Symptoms
Same CgPA PC value from incoming message gets encoded to the outgoing message when a SCCP MSU with CgPA RI set to Route-on-GT gets translated to a different network domain than from which it arrived.
Patches
SCCPHC GPL version 137.10.200, which includes fix for the bug 23287139 needs to be loaded on SCCP cards to resolve the problem. The GPL can be downloaded from MOS using patch number 23292562.
Follow "Updating the Service GPLs" procedure in "Database Administration - System Management User's Guide" EAGLE R46.2 document (E63577 Revision 1) for updating the SCCPHC GPL on SCCP cards.
