Description

After Measurements Platform to E5-OAM Integrated Measurements migration, both PLATFORMENABLE and OAMHCMEAS should not be "on" in MEASOPTS table.
Eagle software release upgrade should not be attempted when both PLATFORMENABLE and OAMHCMEAS are set to "on" in MEASOPTS table. These will result in loss of measurements.

For correct condition, verify that Measurements Platform to E5-OAM integrated measurements migration is successful by displaying MEASOPTS table entries ( RTRV-MEASOPTS ). This will indicate "OAMHCMEAS as ON" and "PLATFORMENABLE as OFF".

Occurrence

This may occur when migration from Measurements Platform to E5-OAM Integrated Measurements is executed when following are true:
PLATFORMENABLE is set to "on" in MEASOPTS table (rtrv-measopts displays this entry)
All cards of type MCPM is deleted from the system before OAMHCMEAS in MEASOPTS table is set to "on" (chg-measopts:oamhcmeas=on)

Symptoms

Post-migration, both PLATFORMENABLE and OAMHCMEAS will be set to "on" in MEASOPTS table.
Critical alarm, UAM 0518, "Measurements subsystem unavailable" may be reported by the system.

Workaround

The system need to be rolled back to the source release, fix the issue by following the correct procedure by having MCPM type card in the system until transition to E5-OAM Integrated Measurements completes, then upgrade the system back.
