Description

This alert warns customers against executing any manual actions on Active SDS server while CRITICAL replication alarms are present.

If a switchover occurs, there may be a chance that the newly active SDS database will have an incoherent database.

Oracle recommends invoking switchover prevention and contact Oracle support for technical assistance.

Occurrence

Customers with SDS are likely to see this whenever latency is encountered in the customer network that interrupts database replication. 
This alert warns customers against executing any manual actions on Active server while CRITICAL replication alarms are present.

31101 - Database Replication to Slave failure

Workaround

Switchover Prevention
Note: Do not take any actions whenever CRITICAL replication alarms are present.

  1. User must identify which NOAM server is standby from NOAM GUI
  2. Navigate to Main Menu: Status & Manage > HA, Set Standby NOAM server MAX HA role to STANDBY.
  3. Contact Oracle for assistance.

To revert from Protection,  restore MAX HA Role by performing the following
a) Navigate to Main Menu: Status & Manage > HA, Set Standby NOAM server MAX HA role to ACTIVE.
