Description
Sun System Firmware 8.3.1 contains ILOM (Integrated Lights-Out Management) version 3.2.1.5.j. However, this ILOM release has an erroneous version string of 3.1.2.5.j. This erroneous version string can be ignored - an ILOM 3.1.x version was never released for SPARC platforms. Any ILOM from the system reading version 3.1.2.5.j, is in fact version 3.2.1.5.j.
Note: Patches (as listed below) for the System Firmware containing the erroneous version string are WITHDRAWN and are no longer available for download.
Occurrence
This issue can occur on the following platforms:
SPARC Platform
- SPARC T3-1 with Sun System Firmware version 8.3.1 (as delivered in patch 150407-04)
- SPARC T3-1B with Sun System Firmware version 8.3.1 (as delivered in patch 150410-04)
- SPARC T3-2 with Sun System Firmware version 8.3.1 (as delivered in patch 150408-04)
- SPARC T3-4 with Sun System Firmware version 8.3.1 (as delivered in patch 150409-04)
- Netra SPARC T3-1 with Sun System Firmware version 8.3.1 (as delivered in patch 150411-04)
- Netra SPARC T3-1B with Sun System Firmware version 8.3.1 (as delivered in patch 150412-04)
Symptoms
When inspecting the ILOM version, the following will be seen:

SP firmware 3.1.2.5.j
SP firmware build number: 84611
the above output showing the erroneous version number of 3.1.2.5.j
This erroneous version string is also shown in the affected patch READMEs as shown below (or with similar time stamps):

Workaround
No workaround is required for this issue; simply interpret the ILOM version 3.1.2.5.j as the actual correct version 3.2.1.5.j.
