Impact E6900/E4900/E2900, V1280, Netra 1280 and Sun Fire 4800/6800 systems running Solaris 10 may fail to properly auto-boot after a system panic. 2. Contributing Factors This issue can occur in the following release: SPARC Platform
3. Symptoms If this issue occurs, the system stays down until "go" is typed. If "boot" is entered instead of "go", a crash dump is not taken so the original panic cannot be diagnosed. If "sync" is entered instead of "go", the system may enter into a recursive panic. 4. Workaround To avoid this issue, set the 'nopanicdebug' parameter to 0x1 in "/etc/system" or by using mdb. 5. Resolution This issue is addressed in the following release: SPARC Platform
