Changes

Recently installed a tape drive for same issue, however issue remains same on the drive.

Cause

Error 9032 could be because of obstructed drive fan.
Power cables or some object blocking airflow at rear side of Library.

Check the data center temperature should be as recommended by the service manual.
Check for any other server or storage devices installed back to back with the library whose hot air flow onto the SL150 library which may be causing the issue.

Solution

If the drive continues to get over temp error 9032 on same drive even after replacement, follow the below procedure which may resolve the issue.

Upgrade library firmware to latest if its old. If problem remains the same or not allowed to upgrade firmware at this point, follow below steps.

1. Need to go near to "Library physical location" and power OFF library by pressing and holding power button on library (you can also power OFF library via Web GUI)
2. After power OFF, wait for 15 minutes, do not power ON immediately.              <--------------------------------- this will allow temperature sensors to get reset and will show actual temperature when powering ON library again.
3. Power ON library by pressing same Power button.
4. Once powered ON Library, wait for 15 minutes to complete library initialization. Do not perform any activity on library till 15 minutes once you power ON.
5. Once initialization completed, log into library WEB GUI and check for any errors.

Note: Please follow above steps in same sequence, which may resolve the problem.
Check the data center temperature should be as recommended by the service manual.
Check for any other server or storage devices installed back to back with the library whose hot air flow onto the SL150 library which may be causing the issue.
