Symptoms

Customer observing that DSR is sending Abort messages to the peer node.

Changes

Cause

Once the Diameter connection is established (CER/CEA), DSR starts sending DWR message during periods of low/no Diameter traffic at regular interval (Proving Timer=500ms) and after 3 consecutive DWR (Proving Times=3) gets unattended by peer node, DSR assume that the Peer node is down and it terminates the connection by sending the SCTP ABORT message.

EVENT_NUMBER: 22304
SEVERITY: INFO
PROCESS: dsr
TYPE: DIAM
INSTANCE: <Connection Name>
