Tekelec

Symptoms

Customer Confirmed that they had a activity scheduled for a Router in their network

Changes

Cause

Due to ASP status received in Down state towards  Eagle from remote node, signalling links on Eagle did not came UP. to bring the Signalling link in IS-NR state manual reset was required at Eagle end.

post manual reset  the asp up and asp active received from peer end.

Normally ASP_UP and active should come to eagle for getting the Signaling link's in UP or IS-NR state.

Solution

execute the below pass  command to confirm the status of ASP,

pass:loc=XXXX:cmd="linkinfo b -l" After running the pass command for linkinfo status observed ASP status was in ASP Down state. which indicates the ASP did not came UP and was in down state.

ASP UP message and ASP ACTIVE message received post manual reset on  signalling links. defined on Eagle STP.
