Symptoms

A VM guest was stopped and started. Console message shows Probing EDD (edd= off to disable) ....However the VM is not booting with Oracle Linux 6.

Changes

Cause

vdisk for /u02 was not connected and hence vm was stuck in booting for mounting that mount.

Solution

To fix this issue , run the below command

$ xm create -c from dom0 and start the VM.

which was went to maintenance mode , mounted filesystem in rw and commented mount /u02 which was giving issue .Then rebooted.
