Applies to:

Oracle Communications Diameter Signaling Router (DSR) - Version DSR 7.2.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ComAgent connections state on SOAM (Communication Agent -> Maintenance -> Connection Status), is showing that all the ComAgent connection to IDIH are in Forming state.

Changes

Cause

The likely cause is a DSR-IDIH sync issue.

Solution

(NOTE: For Releases prior to iDIH 7.2 you may want to check Doc 2226264.1 for a possible solution)

Please follow the below procedure to sync the data between DSR and IDIH:

On Application guest:

Login to application server as admusr and then change to tekelec user (sudo su - tekelec)
1. As tekelec user, navigate to ~/apps/trace-refdata-adapter and run the following commands:
a. ant app.disable
b. ant clean.data
c. ant app.enable

Caution: running ant clean.data will remove the existing data.
PLEASE ENSURE THAT THE END USER IS AWARE OF DATA GETTING CLEARED.
(If this is a new installation then this is less of a concern but please be aware of this).

2. Navigate to ~/apps/ and run ./trda-config.sh < SOAM VIP >
3. Navigate to ~/apps/xihaom and run the command ant imp.init

On Mediation guest:

Login to mediation server as admusr and then change to tekelec user
1. As tekelec user, run chgIntf.sh which prompts the user to enter following values.
Enter new network interface name or return to keep current [imi]: <Enter Key>
Do you want to only allow IP V4 interface filtering [True|False] or return to keep current [False]: <Enter Key>
Do you want to enable network interface filtering [True|False] or return to keep current [True]: False

Wait for 5 minutes after chgIntf.sh script is executed to verify if issue is still occurring.

Note: If issue is resolved then remaining steps are not necessary.

If issue is still present then capture the following

1. On mediation server run the command “comDisp” to check the list of MP’s. Capture the output in a file as follows:
   i.e., comDisp -s > /tmp/comdisp
2. On mediation server execute “tr.cat ImpParser > /tmp/impparser” command to check that the Operational State is InService.
3. Also, please attach application.log(path: /var/TKLC/xIH/log/apps/weblogic/apps/application.log) from the IDIH app guest.
4. please provide Contents of "ComAgtRemServConn" table on mediation guest.
    i.e., iqt ComAgtRemServConn > /tmp/comagtremservconn

Summary of files to provide from above commands if issue still persists:
/tmp/comdisp (Mediation Server)
/tmp/impparser (Mediation Server)
/var/TKLC/xIH/log/apps/weblogic/apps/application.log (App server)
/tmp/comagtremservconn (App Server
