In this Document
Created from <SR 3-17101609381> Applies to:Oracle Communications EAGLE (Hardware) - Version EAGLE 46.3 and laterTekelec SymptomsIP LINK down for IPSM card. Changes
CauseThe problem found to be in the L3 switch port to which the card IPSM card was connected. The following verification was done before the L3 switch port was declared as the cause of the issue. IPSM card Location for the IP interface was down:- 1103 Other IPSM card locations in the system:- 1101 and 1112 1) Back plane adopters were swapped between cards 1103 and 1112 IPSM cards. IP link of card 1103 was still down and IP link of card 1112 was up. This confirmed that there is no issue with the adopter.
2) Cards 1103 and 1112 were swapped. Both cards returned In-service. IP link of card 1103 was still down and IP link of card 1112 was up. This confirmed that there is no issue with the card. 3) We replaced the cable connected to card 1103 but still the IP link was down. This confirmed there is no problem with the cable. 4) We had MASP B (1115/1116) and IPSM card 1103 connected to the same L3 switch/router. We swapped the cables coming from card 1115 and 1103 at switch end. Now the IP link of 1103 came UP and IP link of 1115 went down. This confirmed that the issue is with the L3 switch port to which the card 1103 is connected.
