Symptoms

If using the console through the KVM, the controller head -01 will boot and recognize the clustron card and cluster will join the active head.

However if booting from the ILOM/SP then the clustron card is not seen - it is absent from the BUI hardware maintenance list and the cluster obviously does not join as it is "missing".

Changes

Happened since upgrading to 8.7.12

Cause

The cause seemed to be a corruption when upgrading the ILOM BIOS - a number of setting were not correct when inspected via shared shell.

Changing the BIOS settings and even doing a factory defaults did not cure the problem.

Solution

Upgraded ILOM/SP to current latest version (3.2.7.30.a_r112904), now the cluster card can be seen on normal ILOM boot.
