Symptoms

The AKD process size becomes large ~3.5GB.

We are not able to access the BUI any more and the Analytics are unreliable, so we had to stop all datasets.

Changes

None.

Cause

This is a kernel memory allocation issue.

Bug 23421590 (libumem not allowing allocations with 1.5GB VM allocated but not in use)

Solution

An IDR is available containing the fix for this issue (IDR ak-nas-2013-06-05-7-8-1-2-1-2-1-nd.pkg.gz).
