Symptoms

Some 16-Port 12Gbps SAS-3 Internal RAID PCIe Host Bus Adapter part number 7332895 were mislabeled as part number 7332903.

Only Oracle Field Replaceable Unit (FRU) inventory is impacted and has the erroneous label.

The Vital Product Data (VPD) part number 7332895 is correctly programmed and the IN-BOX PN: 7332895 is correct for the label on the box; only the label on the board itself is wrong.

The installed base does not have this label problem, as those boards were labeled correctly.

Cause

Labeling error at manufacturer.

Solution

Broadcom has corrected their production line so no future spares will have this issue.
