Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Can not get into sefos from the ILOM prompt on two ES1-24 switches that were removed and redeployed from an PCA rack.
Both switches are  otherwise functioning normally, but showed around 90% CPU utilization.

-> cd /SYS/fs_cli
cd: Connecting to Fabric Switch CLI

% Incorrect Login/Password
Oracle ES1-24 login: Never got SEFOS prompt after sending username and
password, 1:TIMEOUT
cd: The session with /SYS/fs_cli has ended.

Changes

 The switches were removed form an OVCA/PCA rack and redployed as stand alone.  The Customer had both inband and out of band ILOM network configured.

Cause

The ES1-24 switches were  were not set to factory default before re deploying as stand alone pair.    As a result the Customer had conflicting ILOM  OOB and Inband network settings.

Solution

Removed inband ILOM settings and rebooted the switch.

Set 'state' to 'disabled'

-> show /SP/inband_network  <----------------------------------Confirm
