Solution Type Problem Resolution Sure Solution 2357905.1 : Oracle ZFS Storage Appliance: Old Alerts and Faults Reappear After Agent/ZFS Upgrade to 13.2/2.2.1
Applies to:Oracle ZFS Storage ZS4-4 - Version All Versions and laterOracle ZFS Storage ZS5-4 - Version All Versions and later Oracle ZFS Storage ZS3-4 - Version All Versions and later Sun ZFS Storage 7420 - Version All Versions and later Oracle ZFS Storage ZS5-2 - Version All Versions and later 7000 Appliance OS (Fishworks) SymptomsOld alert and faults reappear after being cleared (Bug 26286877). ChangesThe agent was upgraded to 13.2 and the plugin to 2.2.1 or later. CauseThe plugin stores alert and fault time stamps for each storage node in a local properties file. This properties file is edited when the plugin runs one of its programs to collect information from the appliance. If two or more programs run at the same time for a storage node it is possible that they can edit the file at the same time causing file corruption. The result is the log collection program is not able to read its last time stamp and will therefore re-send all alerts or faults from the appliance log. SolutionThe local property file corruption issue has been addressed with the following patch. Steps for Plugin Version 13.2.4.0.0
Now you should be able to see the status of and monitor the ZFS Storage Appliance Targets the same way as earlier. Important Notes
