Solution Type Problem Resolution Sure Solution 2353792.1 : VSM6 and VSM7 - Healthcheck status messages indicating the Cluster or VSM is "not fully functional"
In this Document
Oracle Confidential PARTNER - Available to partners (SUN). Applies to:StorageTek Virtual Storage Manager System 6 (VSM6) - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases]StorageTek Virtual Storage Manager System 7 (VSM7) - Version 7.1.2 to 7.1.2 [Release 7.0] Information in this document applies to any platform. SymptomsA Healthcheck review shows any of the following status messages:
# CLUSTER STATUS: Cluster is not fully functional (failover?)
# Cluster status (scstat -g):
# Quorum status (clq status):
# Check for fenced components (FC, TDX, SSD):
# Cluster is not fully functional (failover?)
==> INFO(rc=6): Cluster resources are not fully operational (SC_RES_STATE_FULLY_OPERATIONAL),
Further in the Healthcheck, the operational resources listed show the ivle1-rs is Waiting for Config ## /usr/cluster/bin/scstat -g
There are no operational issues and the Healthcheck SUMMARY RESULT shows NO failures.
ChangesMicrocode upgrade to 7.1.2.03.000. Cause 7.1.2.03.000 code introduces a resource called ivle1-rs on node 1 only. This resource is not operational until it is configured. SolutionThere is NO failure on VSM6. The ivle resources is not supported on VSM6 and the status output is in error. There is NO failure on VSM7 if ivle is not configured, for the same reason. With VSM7, ivle is normally not configured and is not required unless Cloud attachment is planned. These erroneous status are corrected in the current code release 7.1.2.04.000a.
