Symptoms

 On R4 when trying to stage a R5 upgrade package, the upload fails with the message: "Body of the request is greater than the maximum size allowed. This is usually due to an attempt to upload a file that is too large."

Cause

 .

Solution

Use axiomcli to upload the package.

  • Download the axiomcli from the Axiom GUI in Support/Download Utilities/Command Line Interface
  • axiomcli axiom_login -u administrator -p password hostname_or_ip
  • axiomcli ec_update -add -package Ax600_FN_050xxx-yyyyyy.tgz

Note: the ec_update command cannot accept a filename with spaces in the file or the file path.
