This server has an SL150 and currently has an LTO5 drive that it uses. I have added an LTO7 to the server and I can see the access path of the LTO5 but not the LTO7. The HBA card is a QLogic dual port 8GB Manufacturer: QLogic Corp. Model: 371-4325-02 Firmware Version: 5.08.00 FCode/BIOS Version: BIOS: 2.02; fcode: 2.03; EFI: 2.01; Firmware is 5.08.00 and I had the local contact change to a different port on the FC and still I get the same issue where the LTO7 is seen by the OS but Not given the correct access path. SymptomsServer sees the LTO7 tape drive but is not giving it a proper access path. CauseDefective Bridge Drive. SolutionCustomer swapped drive to different location with the same results following the drive. Replace defective tape drive. Applies to:
