Applies to:

Oracle Communications EAGLE (Software) - Version EAGLE 44.0.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Following symptoms are observed:

a) Trbl tco_utl.c is generated while backing up to affected MCAP's USB/pen drive.

<CLLI> 17-12-06 17:44:04 <TZ> EAGLE5 44.0.5-64.34.26
Card 1113 Module tco_utl.c Line 1181 TC Error
Error writing table 348 on standby MRV (A);
Requesting application id: H'001e;
TCY0010: table file sizes do not match.

b) Neither Date nor Time is displayed for affected MCAP's removable system drive on rept-stat-db output:

> rept-stat-db

Cause

This issue is caused because backup USB/pen drive on involved MASP is corrupt.

EVIDENCE OF CAUSE:
-------------------------------------------------
Based on generated trbl "Module tco_utl.c Line 1181 TC Error", there is an error writing on table 348 on standby RMV (A).

Solution

SOLUTION INSTRUCTIONS:
-------------------------------------------------
To implement the solution, please execute the following steps:

1) Identify which TDM is the active, standby and the corrupted backup USB/pen drive (MCAP location).

rept-stat-db:display=all

2) Enter the following command to verify whether measurement collection is on or off:

rtrv-meas-sched

• If measurement collection is on, continue with Step 3.
• If measurement collection is off, proceed to Step 4.

3) Enter the following command to inhibit all measurements:

chg-meas:collect=off

4) Format corrupted USB/pen drive on identified MCAP location (1113 or 1115):

format-disk:type=system:loc=<1113|1115>:force=yes

5) If measurement collection was turned off in Step 3, enter the following command to turn on the measurements:

chg-meas:collect=on

6) Copy GPLs from active TDM (1114 or 1116) to backup USB/pen drive on MCAP location (1113 or 1115) identified as corrupted:

copy-gpl:sloc=<1114|1116>:dloc=<1113|1115>

7) Perform backup to to the removable drives (USB/pen drive), check that trbl "Module tco_utl.c Line 1181 TC Error" is not generated anymore:

chg-db:action=backup:dest=remove

8) Validate that Date and Time Values are displayed for involved MCAP's removable system drives on rept-stat-db:display=all output

 > rept-stat-db:display=all
...
