Symptoms
2 Oracle 16Gb Dual Port Qlogic FC HBA cards
OPTION# / PART# FRU MODEL SSID BUS xGb PORTS
7101673/7101674 7023303 QLE8362 24d/24f PCI-E 16Gb 2
Only first port of dual port fc hba card has a sfp inserted.
Physical cabling connectivity has been verified.
Problem
FC HBA port does not come online when connected to storage.
Changes
Cause
Finding/Recommendation
- per command output SFPs are invalid
- NON-Oracle (Hitachi) SFPs are installed in the cards PN FTLF8529P4BCV-HD instead of Oracle Qlogic SFP FTLF8529P4BCV-QL
- Only Oracle Qlogic SFP FTLF8529P4BCV-QL are supported in the card

- purchase/install Oracle 16Gb Qlogic SFPs PN 7023066 [C] Pair of 16Gbps Long Wave SFP+
