Cause

a) The next 2 patches have conflicts:

  • Composite Patch : 26609783 [Bug 26609783 - DATABASE PATCH SET UPDATE 12.1.0.2.170814]
  • Conflicts with: 25886529 [Bug 25886529 - MERGE REQUEST ON TOP OF DATABASE PSU 12.1.0.2.170418 FOR BUGS 23053606 23108128]

b) The same problem is reported in the next bug:

  • Bug 26747470 - 12.1.2.11->12.1.2.12 GI PATCH FAILED DUE TO CONFLICT CHECKS FAILED

Solution

We need to rollback the Patch: 25886529 from the Grid Infrastructure Home as follows:

a) As root OS user execute the next command:

# ./rootcrs.pl -unlock

b) As grid OS user rollback the patch:

$> opatch rollback -id 25886529

c) As root OS user execute the next command:

# ./rootcrs.pl -patch

d) Then perform the next steps as root OS user:

# oakcli update --patch 12.1.2.12.0 --clean

# oakcli update -patch 12.1.2.12.0 --server --local
