Symptoms

After installation of Oracle Solaris 11.3 image on Sparc T8-1, Sparc T8-2 or Sparc T8-4 Servers the onboard Network interfaces are not visible (configured) in Solaris.

no faults have been reported
in OS, no entries for the devices exist in /etc/path_to_inst
prtdiag shows the network interface devices, but they are not configured:

Cause

T8 Systems require minimum OS release of Solaris 11.3 SRU 24 or later.
With installation images Solaris 11.3 SRU24 or later, required hardware drivers are included and the interfaces will be configured.
