Symptoms

HMP gets short duration sensor threshold warnings in the messages file that's not logged in the ILOM:

May 7 11:48:20 nXXXXXXXp4 hwmgmtd[1260]: [ID 702911 daemon.notice] State change: overall alarm state changed from "Cleared" (1) to "Critical" (2).
May 7 11:48:20 nXXXXXXXp4 hwmgmtd[1260]: [ID 702911 daemon.notice] State change: alarm state of subsystem "Voltage" changed state from "Cleared" (1) to "Critical" (2).
May 7 11:48:20 nXXXXXXXp4 hwmgmtd[1260]: [ID 702911 daemon.notice] State change: alarm state of subsystem "Temperature" changed state from "Cleared" (1) to "Critical" (2).

Cause

This appears to be a hardware problem.

Solution

System board replacement resolved this problem.  These messages are benign, so board replacement is not required as long as the customer can tolerate occasional messages in the log.
