Symptoms

After AKD upgrade, replications failed - errmsg = stage 'init' failed: failed to contact target.

Changes

The appliance firmware was upgraded from 2013.1.6.13 to 2013.1.6.15

Cause

Upgrade broke the replication software links in AKD.

Solution

Resolved by AKD restart on the source ZFS appliance ( Maintenance > System > Restart ).
