In this Document
Created from <SR 3-16211475500> Applies to:StorageTek Virtual Storage Manager System 7 (VSM7) - Version 7.1.1 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform. SymptomsFault reported is: FSC000_NLKP_SEGMENTATION_FAULT This can trigger a single or dual node reboot. The following may be seen in the majorevents.log file of the VSM7. Node 1 major events log.
ChangesRecent code upgrade and/or recent attachment of VLE for migrations. CauseThe VSM7 hardware introduced an ADI hardware check. The problem can happen when performing a migrate to a VLE where a page has a block that spans from the previous page and has a full 60 blocks in the page. The code is running off the end of the block array after performing a VTPF function using the TDX hardware. The VSM7 ADI hardware detects the invalid access. The exposure to this problem exists in VSM7 code levels 7.1.1.01.000 through and including 7.1.1.05.000. The VSM6 is exempt from this problem as it does not have this hardware check and handles this event without faulting. SolutionInstall 7.1.1.06.000 code. Cautions:
