Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Bar code reader tags at least one or a few tapes as "UNREADABLE". This was not the case a few months back. Most tapes bar codes look good (not damaged).

StorageTek SL150 Modular Tape Library multiple Cartridge barcodes are "UNREADABLE".

Changes

None

Cause

Appears to be an issue of invalid labels stuck over the top of old labels (not permitted).
 

Solution

Replace with new and correct format labels.
