Symptoms

Cannot add disks to the pool when new shelf is added - the following error is reported :

The selected storage is insufficient to meet the constraints of the 'data' storage profile. Additional devices must be added before storage can be added to the system.

Cause

When adding more disks to stripped or RAIDz configuration, ensure that the number of disks added is more than the number of disks in each vdev in the configuration.
