Solution Type Problem Resolution Sure Solution 2320281.1 : Oracle ZFS Storage Appliance: Exalogic VMs and Compute Nodes are Hung

Created from <SR 3-15050087917> Applies to:Exalogic Elastic Cloud X5-2 Quarter Rack - Version X5 and later7000 Appliance OS (Fishworks) SymptomsIt is reported that there is the inability to connect to running VMs and the compute nodes appear to be hung. The ZFS_SA storage is suspect in causing this issue.
CauseThere is a current known bug with the ZFS_SA array code that can be the cause of this issue. Bug 26237803 Certain threads get stuck because they are transient and are not being being taken by idle cpus.
SolutionNOTE: Appliance code 8.7.12 and above has the fix for this issue. If this issue is suspected, then a case should be opened with Oracle Technical Support for evaluation.
