Oracle Communications EAGLE (Software) - Version E5-MS 46.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
After the E5-MS R46.3.0.0.1 upgrade, the Eagle alarm resync failed.
When running Eagle resync from Eagle Discovery, you may receive this message from OCEEMS notifications:-
Alarm resynchronization failed for EAGLE: <clli> initiated by user: <username>!
OCEEMS cannot connect to EAGLE: <clli> for receiving alarms!
The Eagle Discovery Protocol is SSH and Fault Interface is SNMP.
Cause
The issue can occur for the following reason:
- Invalid Eagle login ID/password.
- Invalid ssh key information.
Solution
To implement the solution, do the following:
- Retrieve the login-ID/password configured for Eagle Discovery and verify it from E5-MS server command line to ensure successful log into the Eagle with no issue. If login-ID/password no longer valid, reset the password or re-create a new login-ID is required.
- If issue persist, proceed to renew the ssh key information on E5-MS server. Login as E5-MS administrator eg. "e5msadm" and execute the command "ssh-keygen -R <Eagle IP Address of IPSM and OAM>". Example:
- [e5msadm@app]$ ssh-keygen -R 192.168.1.123
- /home/e5msadm/.ssh/known_hosts updated.
- Original contents retained as /home/e5msadm/.ssh/known_hosts.old
- Login to E5-MS GUI and perform Eagle Discovery.
- Verify if alarm resync successfully. Resync status can be checked in OCEEMS Notifications.
