After upgrade to OS 8.7.x, SRA Discover Devices failed with Unknown Error (SRA_EUNKNOWN).

 AK revision upgraded from 8.6.x to 8.7.x

Cause

The causes of this problem are :

1.  Key size supported by Java.

2.  JVM do not support the new key exchange algorithm needed to SSH into the appliance with AK 8.7

OS 8.7 SSHD requires keys larger than 1K.

Prior to Java 8, Java did not support key sizes greater than 1024 bits for diffie-hellman keys.

Also JVM that is bundled with SRM does not support the new key exchange algorithm needed to SSH into the appliance with AK 8.7.

Solution

Install Java 8 for SRM, so the plugin will use the system Java and should work.

Edit the java.config file to say 'true' in SRM .

Note:  If you want to use the System Java for SRM, the java.config file must be edited to say 'true'. Otherwise the plugin will use the version of Java that is bundled with SRM.
