Symptoms

An LTO4 drive is replaced with a T10KD drive.

The drive is showing online on the SLConsole.

'config drives 1,3,1' is timing out and logging this message in acsss_event.log:

'config acs 1' ends in a similar manner:

The acslh trace does not show any packets related to the config commands. The
config command ends with a STATUS_PROCESS_FAILURE:

'query drive 1,3,1,13' is still showing the old drive type of "LTO-4" instead of "T1D"

Changes

Replaced an LTO4 drive with a T10KD drive.

Cause

There could have been some flag or status in memory associated to the drive that is causing the config command to go into a timeout condition.

Solution

The workaround is to restart ACSLS.
