Solution Type Problem Resolution Sure Solution 2317974.1 : In Diameter Signaling Router (DSR), New Signaling Network with New IP Addresses Are Not in Pulldown to Configure for New Local Node
In this Document
Created from <SR 3-15929903411> Applies to:Oracle Communications Diameter Signaling Router (DSR) - Version DSR 6.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform. SymptomsDo not see IP Addresses of newly added Signaling Networks (XSI) in the pulldown when trying to add a new Local Node through a Site OAM (SOAM) GUI. ChangesNetwork was newly added, corresponding new Devices on each MP were also added with new IP addresses via the Network OAM (NOAM) GUI. CauseWhen the new Network was defined, it was associated by the user to a Network Element rather than left Unassigned. Manually assigning the Network to a specific Network Element causes the Network Type to be automatically set to 'OAM.' This is not a setting visible in the GUI. But if the system sets as 'OAM,' it will not be available for Application (DSR) use. SolutionEdit each new Device associated with this new Network to remove the IP Address, then Edit the Network to set the Network Element association to "Unassigned." Alternatively, the new Devices and Networks can be deleted then added back with the "Unassigned" Network Element setting. The IP Addresses should thereafter be available to use for configuring a new Local Node. Step-by-Step procedure:
The new XSI addresses should now be available in the IP Address pulldown of the Local Node configuration screen on the SOAM. Attachments This solution has no attachment |
