Applies to:

Sun StorageTek Crypto Key Management System - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases]
Oracle Solaris on x86-64 (64-bit)

Symptoms

Customer site needed to un-enroll tape drives and remove the tape drive agents from an OKM site in another location and Delete the KMA servers from their OKM GUI.

The tape drives were then moved and en-rolled the tape drives to new agents at another site.

Changes

The customer's OKM site is being decommissioned, all tape drives need to be moved to a different site and the KMA servers need to be Deleted from the KMA cluster.

Cause

There is no problem, just need to make changes to the customer's OKM  configuration.

Solution

I had the customer go into their OKM GUI from the site to be decommissioned and "Delete" all of the tape drive agents from their "Agent List" screen.

Then after logging into the OKM GUI from another KMA server, they were able to Delete the KMA servers from the KMA List screen.

The tape drives were then moved to the new site and new Agents were Created for the new tape drives and enrolled using VOP.

All of the tape drives are now working from the new site.
