Trying to run an audit with the CAP in automatic mode, the audit fails.
This happens when using SLConsole and it also happens when using command proc.

Audit cannot complete due to hardware failure com.stortek.ats.elib.server.common.LcException: Cap unlocked

Solution

Change the CAP mode to manual.
Run the audit again.
Change the CAP back to automatic mode.
