Symptoms

VSM6 no longer sending ASR heartbeats

Changes

Code was upgraded to 7.1.1.01.000

Cause

VSM6 and VSM7 microcode prior to 7.1.1.01.000 managed ASR through CAM. With 7.1.1.01.000, CAM has been removed and ASR is managed by VTASR, which requires re-registering ASR.

Solution

VSM6 -VSM7 needs ASR re-registration on BOTH nodes.

1. On BOTH nodes run commands
sudo /opt/vsm/bin/asr_sfb_cfg.pl ASR_ENABLE

sudo /opt/vsm/bin/asr_sfb_cfg.pl

2.          Select option 2 - Configure ASR Settings ONLY

3.                     Select option 2 - Clear ASR Registration

4.                     Select option 4 - Enroll

Verify all previous information is correct

Enter customers MOS user login and Password

5. Verify ASR is enabled. If it is not, re-enable ASR.

sudo /opt/vsm/bin/asr_sfb_cfg.pl ASR_QUERY

sudo /opt/vsm/bin/asr_sfb_cfg.pl ASR_ENABLE
