Symptoms

Unable to launch ILOM Remote System Console Plus with Java 7, the following error will be seen.

Cause

Please check if the tlsv1 is disabled in the properties of /SP/services/https.

Properties:
      port = 443
      servicestate = enabled
      sessiontimeout = 300
      tlsv1 = disabled <<========== disabled
      tlsv1_1 = enabled
      tlsv1_2 = enabled

On ILOM 3.2.8 or later, TLSv1 is disabled and TLSv1.1 and TLSv1.2 are enabled by default.

Solution

There are two solutions.

Solution#1) Set the tlsv1 to enabled.

-> set /SP/services/https tlsv1=enabled

Solution#2) If cannot enable for security reason, please upgrade Java on client to Java 8 update 131 or later.
