Created from <SR 3-15163705001> Applies to:SPARC S7-2 - Version All Versions and laterSPARC T5-2 - Version All Versions and later SPARC T5-4 - Version All Versions and later SPARC T7-2 - Version All Versions and later SPARC T7-1 - Version All Versions and later Information in this document applies to any platform. SymptomsILOM firmware 3.2.4 has been very stable due to many ILOM memory leak fixes. ILOM restarts, or hangs when ILOM firmware revisions above 3.2.4 are installed. The event log will contain the following event for related reboots, but hangs will not: Cause1. The T5 & T7 systems contain an ILOM with the Pilot3 hardware. These systems are affected by jumbo network packets prior ILOM version 3.2.8. 2. ILOM firmware 3.2.8 through 3.2.10 contained a bug related to a memory leak in the ILOM's ipmitool interface. SolutionThe jumbo packet problem is resolved in ILOM firmware 3.2.8. The ipmi problem can be worked around by either periodically resetting the ILOM or by disabling the ILOM's ipmi service.
