Symptoms

LTO - Can't Connect to Newer Belisarius Encryption Adapter Cards with VOP on IBM LTO4 and Higher Drives

Changes

Firmware of Belisarius card was updated to 5.32.20.40.

Belisarius card was recently replaced.

Cause

Older versions of VOP won't connect to Belisarius cards running the latest firmware of 5.32.20.40.

This could be because the Belisarius cards were recently upgraded to 5.32.20.40 or because the Belisarius card had to be replaced and the new replacement Belisarius card came in with 5.32.20.40 firmware on it.

Solution

VOP 2.3.3 is required for Belisarius cards running 5.32.20.40.
