Solution Type Problem Resolution Sure Solution 2296630.1 : SNMP And SSH Access Lost After Upgrade To ECZ730 From ECZ640
SNMP and SSH connectivity is lost after upgrade to ECZ730 from ECZ640 In this Document
Created from <SR 3-15515891641> Applies to:Acme Packet 4500 - Version E-Cx6.4.0 to E-Cz7.4.0 [Release E-Cx6.0 to E-Cz7.0]Information in this document applies to any platform. SymptomsManagement traffic (SSH and SNMP) stopped working after upgrade from 6.x to 7.x. CauseThe upgrade from vxworks-based images (6.x release) to linux-based images (7.x release) requires attention to default-gateway and host route configuration. Solution
After migration to Linux we actually honor the gateways set for each interface more strictly. So the route tables have a gateway for each media interface. The default-gateway applies to the management interfaces (i.e. - wancom0) beyond 7.2. So customers should update their config to have same default-gateway as per the wancom0 subnet. Here is an example from one of our lab - 3800-2(configure)# bootparam '.' = clear field; '-' = go to previous field; q = quit boot device : eth0 3800-2# show running-config system-config comm-monitor
Note :- This is applicable to SCZ versions also as the vxworks to linux migration was done for both ECZ and SCZ version .
