In this Document
Oracle Confidential PARTNER - Available to partners (SUN). Applies to:Sun StorageTek SL8500 Modular Library System - Version All Versions and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform. SymptomsFSC(1121): "Internal device request timedout to move from source", sourceAddress=3,3,-6,1,2 destinationAddress=3,3,6,1,0 volumeLabel=volser The timeout may occur for PTPs in other libraries in the SL8500 chain. Changes
CauseA robot on the same rail level in a connected SL8500 wasn't working and needed to be replaced. Because the robot wasn't working, requests timed out after 20 minutes for tapes that needed to be passed through to this other library. This resulted in FSC 1121 for the PTP address. SolutionCheck the connected libraries for a robot experiencing issues, possibly on the same rail. An SR may already be open for the problem. Verify that there is a bad robot that needs to be replaced. If there is indeed a broken/failing robot in another library, replace the robot via an SR that has been opened under that library serial number. Attachments This solution has no attachment |
