Sun StorageTek Crypto Key Management System - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After moving the KMA to another site, "List KMA" option on the OKM GUI is failing with the following error:

 Debug Assertion Failed!

  Program: C:\Program Files (x86)\Oracle\Oracle Key
  Manager\OKM_Manager.exe
  File: c:\program files\microsoft visusl studio 8\vc\include\vector
  Line: 756

Expression: vector subscript out of range

For information on how your program can cause an assertion
failure, see the Visual C++ documentaion on asserts.

(Press Retry to debug the application)

The system dump's ListKMA file shows no similar error.
The error above is limited to the OKM GUI display.

Changes

Recent OKM upgrade

Cause

The OKM GUI version is down level and should be patched or upgraded.

Solution

Verify the OKM GUI program running on the workstation.
The OKM GUI version is displayed on the Oracle Key Manager GUI Help -> About Oracle Key Manager... option.
It should be the same as or greater than the newest KMA's version shown on the KMA List.

Download and apply the appropriate OKM GUI patch from MOS Patches & Updates

If the problem persists, open a service request (SR) in My Oracle Support. Attach a screen image of the error to the SR.
Capture an OKM system dump and attach this to the SR, as well.
