Symptoms

Existing analytic datasets were becoming disabled after 10 days from the last access date even though the dataset_auto_suspend setting was set to false.

Changes

Recent upgrade to AK8.7.0

Cause

AK 8.7.0 added the new feature to auto suspend datasets, but does not update existing datasets with the required properties, this causes the system to default to a behavior that enables the auto suspend function.

Solution

Enable and then disable the dataset_auto_suspend function to update the dataset properties.

In the CLI:

analytics settings set dataset_auto_suspend=true
analytics settings set auto_suspend_threshold=1hour
analytics settings set dataset_auto_suspend=false

Or in the BUI,

Navigate to analytics > settings and check the "Enable auto suspend policy" box , set the threshold to 1 hour, then click apply.

Then un-check the "Enable auto suspend policy" box and click apply.

This results in the datasets getting updated with the new properties and not becoming disabled after the default time of 10 days.
