Applies to:

Oracle Communications Diameter Signaling Router (DSR) - Version DSR 6.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After de-activating the MAP-Diameter Interworking feature on the Diameter Signaling Router (DSR), when removing the last SS7-MP Server from its Server Group an error below appears and the action fails:

[Error Code 10060] - Edit Failed: Selected Server Group is being used by at least one Local Signaling Point

Changes

The MAP-Diameter interworking feature was previously in use and had some configuration provisioned.

Cause

The configuration related to the MAP-Diameter interworking feature was not completely removed by the user prior to de-activation of the feature. While the de-activation function will remove the related Graphical User Interface (GUI) screens, it does not remove associated configuration entries. This configuration remains although will not be used.  If the feature is ever re-activated it will again be available for use.

Solution

To avoid this condition, all MAP-Diameter Interworking related configuration should be manually removed prior to the de-activation of the feature.

If this error is confronted, the solution is to re-activate the feature following the "DSR MAP-Diameter Feature Activation Procedure" document for the installed software release.

Once the feature is activated, the user will again have access to the necessary GUI screens to then manually remove any remaining entries. Once these are removed, the feature can again be de-activated and the server can be successfully removed from the server group.
