Symptoms

FSC(3002): An internal timeout occurred. The drive did not complete the last command within the time allowed. A manual dump is required and should be taken as soon as possible.

Cause

Drive dumps and event log are isolating FSC 3002 and 3001 to two tapes: volser T00493 and T00364.

Solution

Pull volser T00493 and T00364 from production, copy data to new media, and discard the old media. If customer wishes to reuse the cartridges, the customer can certify the media and reuse if there is no problem during certification.
