In this Document
Oracle Confidential PARTNER - Available to partners (SUN). Applies to:Sun StorageTek SL8500 Modular Library System - Version All Versions and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform. The CAP will NOT audit if the CAP is not locked. Verify that a physical and verified audit via SLConsole can be done. Check the LEDs on the ethernet cables on top of the HBZ-B card are green. SLC shows cap locked=true, and I physically confirmed it is locked as well. SymptomsCAP-B is stuck in Auditing/Offline Changes
CauseHBZ cards appear to be out of sync. SolutionThere are a couple of fixes for this problem: 1. Pull both power supplies to the HBZ cards, wait 30 seconds, and pushed the power supplies back in. 2. Pulled both power supplies to the HBZ cards, swap HBZs, waited 30 seconds, and pushed the power supplies back in. Both CAPs came online. - Tested both CAPs and CAP B failed. - Moved the safety door, bypassed the door switches and moved the safety door back so I could observe the CAP function. - Swapped both CAP motors and solenoid locks. Both CAPs then functioned, but observed the solenoid lock originally in CAP B was jittery. - Replaced the jittery solenoid lock with a new one and tested okay. - Moved the safety door, reengaged the door switches, closed the door, and moved the safety door back.
