CauseManufacturing problem. SolutionRebuild the corner track assemblies for Rail_1 upper, the mounting screws must be re-positioned before they can be installed in the Rail_1 position. Refer to the attached document for process to rebuild rail. Introduction: An SL8500 Corner Track Assembly FRU manufactured for rails 2, 3, or 4 cannot be installed on rail 1 because the heads on the 14x mounting screws are not accessible. To facilitate screw head accessibility and allow later installation in the SL8500, the screws and associated hardware must be removed and re-installed on the opposite side of the corner assembly. Description: This instruction details the process required to alter an SL8500 Corner Track Assembly FRU originally manufactured for use on rails 2-4 (Figure A) to one usable on Rail 1 (Figure B). Although this instruction illustrates the powered corner track assembly, the same process is used to modify the no power corner track assembly FRU originally manufactured for rails 2-4. In similar fashion, the reverse process can be used to modify power or no power corner track assemblies originally manufactured for rail 1 to one usable on rails 2-4.
