SL150

Symptoms

Previously NDMP backups using HP 4048 library with HP LTO5 drive worked fine. Now NDMP backups using the new STK SL150 library with IBM LTO7 drives do not work.

Backups made without using NDMP directly from Data Protector and IBM LTO7 tape drives work fine.

The IBM LTO7 were replaced with HP LTO6. NDMP backup worked fine

The following error is produced in Data Protector logs....

ERROR: "VPD Inquiry, page 00h returned Check Cond : illegal request (ASC 49/00)"

Changes

New SL150 with new IBM LTO7 drives
